January 11, 2014 - At the close
For goodness sakes.
Hulk is better.
This loss may be the saddest one of the line. Not that it was cancelled. All of them were. But this one had the spark and drive that so many of these books lacked in this acclaim re-launch. It had a round set of character - and an independence from its origin - with some serious reverence, too. I'm glad that the VEI launch had some reference to it in the past. If you're still just thumbing around through these - pony up the twelve or so dollars, and buy these ones.
Great one-liners in the issue. Especially as he walks his way through security that can do little else but watch him walk through. And nice level of action, too. The comic hit in the jugular vein - and kept stomping onward. It also went back to its own origins, and played reference to the Voyeur, too. Great work.
In the tiny country of...
"Costa Salvador," of course. Not at all a hybrid name of COSTA Rica and El SALVADOR.
Now that we've lost contact... Hmmm.... Why don't we send the known Hulk-battling forces down to investigate. You know. JUST in case...
Kills me. How can this tripe be selling? The art, too? Well - at least it mastered the look of the crazy eyes, right?
I guess I liked bringing in the Inhumans? I haven't really read them before - but they seemed a lot like some second and third-tiered characters - and really?
We're stopping the Hulk using roots? Wow. This stuff NEEDS to get better.
