This one is tough, but only because both are mediocre. Probably Spider-Man, but...
Never really saw it
I always thought about the concept of life - being able to be supported by some variety of things. These Spider-Aliens, I love how they have a different mindfulness about life - to support plants and all, but the way they just answer SOLAR's questions in nearly every way - offering no real resistance to SOLAR, even when he's going to slaughter.
The crystals, though, are sweet. I loved the ability to see them as living things - attacking and seizing on the Spider-Aliens. Seeing them as living beings was cool. Then that connected to the setup with Destroyer and SOLAR being connected again...
And now, ATTACK!
Well, he nearly gave it up last issue. But now, he's back to fight Sandman! AND Fancy Dan and the Enforcers.
Looked it up. Fancy Dan still exists. Wow. If my name was Fancy Dan, I'd probably start a new career.
But Torch shows up, as do half of the world in this book.
Spidey quickly flips public opinion back in his favor after following Aunt May's advice, and takes up the mantle of responsibility again.
Don't know why this issue isn't ever mentioned along with issue 50 as a give up the ghost one. Perhaps because it isn't nearly as good, but...
