Great cover, but
Iron Man is better.
BWS it ain't. We know where this was going. Remember when Tony gave up the armor for a while, right? This might have been that good. And could have been. But it isn't. At all.
The cover is still cool. And suggestive. Remember? Before the internet, kids? I did like how much of the book shows the slow attachment that the armor takes over her body. The creeping on while sleeping is especially cool. The battle with Ax and the Commando armor is a fun one. The subtext helped establish the character's vulnerability, and learning curve, but X-O class clearly wins the battle here.
Not bad, but the book knows already I'm longing for Aric, as evidenced by the last panels.
Look! It's CAPTAIN AMERICA! Or, not.
Love the comic. Bringing back the Chameleon, and even going through the suggestion of the phony Captain America - loved it. Did I see it from a hundred miles away? Sure. Was it a fun little romp? Absolutely.
This comic is the start of Captain America filling in as a regular starting next issue.
It's a nice book - Kraven features briefly, and the book is starting to really see each story as a part of a universe, instead of just a tiny snapshot of a character. Each person is growing - and has memories from previous encounters. Keeps getting better. AND the Watcher no more. To read the same story of the Watcher not interceding by interceding was getting tired.
