Fantastic Four is clearly superior.
It can get worse.
And did. Wow. This pile of GARBAGE keeps getting increasingly bad as I read it. Don't know how much off-track this could get - until I read this one. And sadly, the story seemed to have some kind of merit in the grander scale - but these have kept getting increasingly difficult to muscle through. The art is nearly childishly poor. These over-characterized silly faces are a mess.
And the interactions and reactions are unbelievable. I actually had to read back because I couldn't believe the reaction of a few of the characters when the head was removed? Wow. Dumb Dumb.
The benevolent dictator
I can remember Chiclo indicating in a discussion that Doom only had a personal concern with Reed - and that otherwise he was a normal guy really trying to establish himself and survive in the world.
That's a load of garbage. I can't believe that anyone would think that or Doom in this era.
Might he eventually become that? PERHAPS. But not in this era, most certainly. He's got a LONG way to go to get there.
This guy imprisoned his own people - and as clumsily as he might have attempted to imprison the team, he flipped out - and imprisonment became the norm.
Strange to see the parallels in both Latveria and the nation established in Europe, too. Eerie.
