October 29, 2011 - Shocking, eh?
Shadowman is still stronger.
Back to hell
Pretty fun issue. Jack hits the road and ends up fighting his way in an evangelist's front yard against some seriously messed up locals. Fun one.
On a tour of as he calls, "the local garbage," Jack ends up fighting his way out of a few crazy fights. Good parallel to the youth crazy minister, too.
He pulls over at Virgil's house, where all of the crosses are all over the place. Virgil's a nut, to be certain, and Jack realizes this - but it's kinda why he's endeared to Jack.
Jack defends him, but Virgil flips back, and shows him why he shouldn't attack these kids - as dumb as they are. Pretty good example of turning the other cheek. Nice close to the story, too - with the charity reference.
FF and Electro? Borrowers...
Daredevil may have been the most unique concept for a story in the early Silver Days of the Marvel company. Unfortunately, it is also one of the worst written comics of the time.
With Daredevil being blind, for some reason, the writers are forced to continually jump into his mind to tell the audience what he is doing. Now, the costume is awesome.
In defense of these kids, the story is a TON better than last month. But it's still a little too kooky - even with bringing so many characters in from adjoining comics.
