November 3, 2013 - Nearly everyone fails this.
Cap is better.
I am despising reading these.
When I read these - I am stunned each issue at how dull these are. It's like I have no interest in remembering anyone - previous issue, current issue, or anything. I am bored to tears continually.
Why can't these issues make any sense. Perhaps they are too steeped in the whole voodoo thing - or perhaps not enough. I just know that when I read these, I am bored - and my mind continually fluctuates to other topics, things I have to do, and other things in my life.
The art is dull - even if the covers are interesting - but the mature readers suggested either drives me off - or I wonder why it's wasted on stuff. It's like JUST crossing over the border into 'adult content,' and needlessly, at that. Pass.
A VERY welcome change.
Not sure why this comic had been SO bad lately, but a re-focus in art - along with a slight change in direction REALLY helped me enjoy this.
I really loved the new art. I forgot - QUICKLY about Kirby and his past. REALLY gone in my brain. BUT I loved the change-over to include Rick Jones as Bucky. It really helped build Cap's past relationship with his old partner, and developed more of a bond with the future - PLUS it helped put the brooding sadness of his loss behind him. I am getting a LITTLE sick of Cap getting so self dumped on every issue about how much he missed Bucky.
Cool to bring in the Hulk, too. Even he seemed better here.
